Introducing Fuelo: Find the Cheapest Fuel Across Australia

Fuel prices in Australia are notoriously volatile. On any given day, the difference between the cheapest and most expensive station on the same road can be 30 cents per litre or more. Over a year, that adds up to hundreds of dollars wasted simply because you didn't know a cheaper option was around the corner.

We built Fuelo to fix that.

What Fuelo Does

Fuelo is a free Android app that puts every fuel station on an interactive map with real-time prices. Open the app, and you'll immediately see what's near you and how much each station is charging.

Key features:

• Interactive map — Zoom, pan, and tap any station to see its current prices. Your location is front and centre so you can always find what's closest.
• 10+ fuel types — Unleaded 91, Premium 95, Premium 98, E10, E85, Diesel, Premium Diesel, LPG, and more. Switch between fuel types with a single tap.
• 40+ brands — BP, Shell, Ampol, Caltex, 7-Eleven, United, Costco, and dozens of independents. Filter by your preferred brands to cut through the noise.
• Brand filtering — Only want to see certain chains? Toggle brands on and off to customise your view.

Where the Data Comes From

Fuelo is powered by official government data feeds:

• NSW — FuelCheck (NSW Government)
• QLD — MyFuelQLD (Queensland Government)
• VIC — Victorian Government fuel price data
• SA — South Australian fuel price monitoring
• WA — Western Australian fuel price data
• NT — Northern Territory fuel price data

This means the prices you see in Fuelo are the same ones reported to state regulators. No scraping, no guesswork — just the official numbers.

Why We Built It

Existing fuel price apps are often cluttered with ads, missing coverage in certain states, or require you to create an account before you can see a single price.

We wanted something different:

• Fast — Open the app and see prices immediately. No loading screens, no sign-up walls.
• Clean — A map-first experience with no clutter. The price is the point.
• No account required — Just open and go. We don't collect personal data or require registration.
• Comprehensive — Six states and territories, 40+ brands, 10+ fuel types, all in one place.
