Fuelo is a fuel price comparison app for Australian drivers. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
What Data We Collect
Location Data
Fuelo requests access to your device's location to show fuel stations near you. Your location is sent to our API server solely to retrieve nearby station prices. We do not store, log, or track your location over time.
No Personal Data
Fuelo does not require an account, login, or registration. We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or any other personal information.
No Analytics or Tracking
We do not use third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, or tracking pixels. We do not sell or share any data with third parties.
Data Sources
Fuel price data displayed in the app is sourced from official state government fuel price monitoring programs in New South Wales, Queensland, Victoria, and South Australia.
Third-Party Services
- Map tiles — Fuelo uses OpenFreeMap for map rendering. No personal data is shared with this service beyond standard HTTP requests for map tiles.
- Google Play — The app is distributed via the Google Play Store, which is governed by Google's own privacy policy.
Data Storage
Your preferences (selected fuel type, brand filters) are stored locally on your device using standard Android storage. This data never leaves your device.
Children's Privacy
Fuelo is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
